Our Sites
We own three sites, two of which are currently leased for operational purposes to independent Charities which can be explored below:

Bursledon Brickworks (1896-7) is a ten-acre site located off Swanwick Lane, Fareham which remained operational until 1974, following which HBPT took ownership in the early 1990s. It is now run by a museum trust. As the only steam-driven brickworks in the UK, the museum holds collections recognised as being of national importance and is open to visitors.
Bursledon Windmill (1813-14) located on Providence Hill, includes machinery dating to 1769 and remains operational. HBPT took over the site for restoration in the late 1970s. Hampshire Cultural Trust managed and operated the mill, but the mill is currently closed whilst we seek a viable commercial operating model.
Whitchurch Silk Mill (1815) located within the town on the River Test was in continuous commercial use until 1985. As a unique example of the English silk industry, it was rescued from redevelopment and refurbished by HBPT, who still own it. It is operated as a living museum, run by a museum trust and providing the opportunity to train a new generation of weavers.
